Intrepid Londoner with a passion for raising awareness of HIV/AIDS undertaking an amazing feat – to run a half marathon, in every continent of the world.

Candice Brown Brathwaite will begin the task of running a half marathon in every continent in aid of registered charity AVERT (AVERTing HIV & AIDS).

With the 2012 Olympics being held in London there is already excitement in the air with regard to sporting events. This is a sure fire way to raise awareness and money for such a worthy cause;

Starting in Jamaica in December 2011 and Ending in London in April 2012, Candice will undertake these races with much vigor as she has watched someone fall victim to the harsh realities of HIV herself and is coming from a genuine place when wanting to establish a more solid foundation of support for people who find themselves to be suffering.

Coming up with the slogan ‘Sack The Stigma’ Candice wants to interact with those that are infected to show that this disease has no color lines, nor boundaries. As humans we are all susceptible this disease.

Candice will be accompanied by video director; Danielle Scott Haughton. Danielle has worked professionally in video production for the last 3 years. As the Video Director at SUPERSUPER Magazine, she have worked with a variety of brands from Reebok at Saatchi & Saatchi, Boxfresh to respected underground brands like Boy Better Know. While still at SUPERSUPER Magazine, she has also worked independently, on projects for MTV’s ‘The Wrap Up’ and she is currently Production Assistant to film and music video director: Mo Ali. Having graduated with a degree in Broadcast from London College of Fashion, she is passionate about the promotion of brands through the use of video.

RunTheWorld: SackTheStigma will be a multiplatform documentary series shot in full HD. With intimate access to this unique journey, RTW promises to be an exciting adventure with a heartfelt message of personal empowerment through charity.

Using the power of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Tumblr to spread awareness of HIV & AIDS, viewers will see Candice visit AIDS Orphanages on every stop of this world tour to highlight the affects that this destructive disease has on its victims.

RunTheWorld: SackTheStigma, aims to raise international awareness as well as money and will create positive exposure, not just for AVERT but for the individuals and brands involved.
